An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time receptionist/administrator to join our friendly practice team.
The position covers a variety of morning and afternoon shift patterns and there will be some flexibility for the right candidate. Mornings shifts work from 7.45am and evening shifts finish 6.30pm. Please only apply if you can work at these times.
You will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and supporting teams. You will need to have the skills to resolve and manage issues as they arise and be able to prioritise your workload, be flexible for the needs of the business and work within a team setting and able to consider business constraints and service user needs. You will also need to have a consistent and compassionate approach with our service users at all times.
Liaising with patients and colleagues is a key part of the role so you must have an excellent telephone manner and great communication skills. Good IT skills and experience are essential.
This diverse and challenging role includes working with our back office admin team where you should have an eye for detail, be very organised and able to prioritise conflicting demands. You must be able to meet strict deadlines.
The post holder will be reliable, trustworthy, have excellent customer service skills, a caring and empathetic manner. Experience in customer service roles and the NHS an advantage.

Duties will include:
- Providing efficient and friendly reception service for all patients and other visitors to Sherbourne Medical Centre
- Providing efficient and effective administrative support to Doctors and clinical staff
- Processing of patient prescription requests and dealing with prescription queries in a safe and timely manner
