Dr Richard Courtenay

11th January 2022

Dr Courtenay is disappointed (and frankly a bit miffed) to report that he has to resume treatment for his prostate cancer. The previous treatment was successful in the area treated. Disappointingly, there was small volume disease in the lymph glands that wasn't evident for the original treatment. This has now become detectable and requires further treatment, initially with chemotherapy and later radiotherapy.

He will start treatment soon and will be away from his Surgery duties for some months. It is hoped that there is a very good chance that this treatment will be successful in the longer term.
